My Youngest plays ball!

Baseball season is almost over, so I thought I should take some baseball pictures and post them!  I didn't get any pictures of my Oldest playing ball, his season was so weird (he broke his finger and couldn't play at the end)...so, here is my Youngest and his team "The Sharks"
Had to pose in the front yard first.  He has a great form!

Playing catch with Dad...or should I say "Coach"!  Not the head coach (not this year :-) but a coach non-the-less!

The Sharks!  My son is the closest and he's mad because Dad (Coach) took him aside to give him pointers on playing 2nd base.

Swing, batter, batter!  Miss!  You'll get it next time son!

The Sharks have 2 more regular season games next week and then their Double Elimination Tournament game starts the 18th.  I'm going to predict 2 tournament games since they haven't won a game yet.  That is life and although I wish they would win a game or 2, not winning teaches them more.  Good luck Sharks!

Spring Concert (Last one at LMS)

My Oldest son plays the bassoon in the band and this was his last concert in Middle School :-(
Dr. G was a great teacher, she took 6th graders (who never played an instrument before in their lives) and turned them into musicians!  My son (front row) is sooo goofy!  Thank you Dr. G!

These are some of his best friends at LMS.  They are all great musicians and now they move on to Marching Band!  This summer is going to be busy for the 5 of them...they have to learn to march, learn the marching music and routines, and learn the regular music too.  The bassoon is not a marching instrument, so that means 2 instruments in our household, the saxophone for marching and the bassoon for contest and concerts...(he's not so good on the saxophone :-)

Good luck guys!

Family Campout---Spring 2012

Our Cub Scout Family Campout this spring turned into just that for our Family.  Both cousin big J and my Youngest are Tiger scouts and so Mom, brother R and his boys big J and little J and Me, my Hubby and my Oldest and Youngest all attended camp this year.
In the background R and my Hubby, in the fore ground little J and another Tiger scout playing checkers.
 Mom reading at camp.
R and big J and little J with just 2 of the dozen perch they caught.  They love fishing!
My hubby and my Youngest with one of their fish.
Mom watching the grandson's catch their fish.

My Oldest and I were both at the campout, but I don't have any pictures to prove it.  My Oldest was off running around with the older boys and the Bear den, which he was the Den Chief for, and I'm taking all of the pictures.  It was a very fun weekend and I'm so glad that we got Mom out there too!  It just sooo happened that these pictures and the campout took place on her 66th birthday!  Happy Birthday Mom!

The Bird Watcher

My Youngest decided to take up bird watching.  :-)

He took his last allowance to the Dollar Tree and the safari hat and binoculars were 2 of the items he bought.  Our front yard tree is the home to alot of birds, including blue birds, cardinals, finches and robins.  He was having fun. :-)
