My Youngest son is going to have his 5th birthday in 2 weeks and he wants a Star Wars theme. I want to do the theme on my own, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do! Help! Cake ideas---none at the moment. Present ideas---Lego's Batman or Lego's Indiana Jones for the DS. Decoration ideas---I haven't been to the party store yet, but I'm sure they will have something. It's that cake that's giving me nightmares! I can't believe my baby is going to be 5! I also want to make something easy like rice krispie treats for his pre-k class, but I've got to ask his teacher if that will be okay.
My husband celebrates his birthday the same weekend, but we've pretty much worked out that I'm going to buy him a motorcycle jacket so he can ride his motorcycle late into the fall.
My Oldest has a birthday in November and he has yet to settle on a theme either. He's going to be 12 and tends to like things like laser-tag or the batting cages for his party. He also wants his friends at his parties instead of just family like my youngest.

I'm sure you've gotten some feedback (and done some research) since you've posted this but how are you at decorating cakes from a mold? You could always try getting a Star Wars cake pan and seeing how well you could ice it! Here's a link to some of them on eBay:

I could decorate one of those cakes (I think), but I have problem getting them out of the pans without breaking or tearing, even when I grease and flour well I have problems. I did find a Darth Vader candle holder...so we will see. Thanks for the idea.
